Blog Post 4 Plan for Revisions

My research proposal has so far concentrated on the idea of defining terminology through the use of hyperlinks. I want to understand the average user's comprehension of the Washington County Bookings website and if hyperlinks would help overall comprehension. I plan to ensure that there is a clear and concise question I include in my research proposal that will ask this. This will make it easier for the reader to understand specifically what I am seeking to gauge. I am also considering using a more generic approach for my research proposal. I want to keep my audience wondering about most of the adjacent issues that surround this research question.

Blog Post #3 RESEARCH GAP

In the world of PTW, we understand that technical communication on any medium must be effective and understandable for the reader. The missing research that I have noticed is whether legal jargon can really be understood by users of certain websites. The websites that I am specifically talking about are those websites that are ran or funded by any local or federal government. Legal terminology use can be an indirect way of excluding groups of people who are not familiar with the field, as as a PTW, we must cater to their lack thereof. More research needs to be done in the above mentioned websites and we must further investigate whether the average user of said websites understand the terminology. The solution of this problem should be addressed with the use of hyperlinks that define terminology for the average user.
